The 1925-26 Austrian Hockey Championship was the fourth season of the Austrian Hockey Championship. It was contested by 14 teams and won by Wiener Eislauf-Verein.

Format

As the 1924-25 season saw many cancelled games, the competition format for the 1925-26 season was reorganized in a knockout format that provided each team the opportunity to play at least twice. This format was known as the Vienna System, which consisted of four main rounds and two intermediate rounds.

The first round was attended by all registered teams, with the exception of the top four teams from the previous year, who were exempted from participating. The teams who lost in the first round played in the first intermediate round, while the winners advanced to the second main round.

The third and fourth placed teams entered the competition in the second main round. The second intermediate round was contested by the losers of the second main round.

The winners of the second main round advanced to the third round, where they were joined by the top two finishers from 1924-25. The top six teams advanced to the fourth and final round.
