The 1958-59 Austrian Hockey League season was the 29th season of the Austrian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Austria. Six teams participated in the league, and EV Innsbruck won the championship.

Nationalliga

Team GP W L T GF GA Pts
1. EV Innsbruck 9 9 0 0 73 15 18
2. EC KAC 10 7 3 0 50 30 14

5. EC VSV 10 3 6 1 33 70 7
6. Wiener Jugend SV 9 0 7 2 20 86 2

Innsbruck won the Austrian Championship. The decisive match at the end of January against KAC was anticlimactic. Innsbruck won on the ice 6:1 (2:0, 1:1, 3:0), but in the third period, KAC had to be loaned the goaltender Püls by Innsbruck because their own goalie, Nusser, was injured. As this was not allowed in the championship rules, the official result was changed to a 5-0 forfeit.
