Baltimore, Maryland

The Baltimore Orioles competed in the Tri State Hockey League this winter, and the Baltimore Amateur Ice Hockey League returned for a second season. Baltimore Athletic Club, Green Spring Valley Club, Mount Washington Club, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland Dental School competed.

Montana

The Butte Clarkes won the Butte-Anaconda Hockey League and the Montana State Championship. They won a five-game series over Great Falls, while the Butte Lockwoods defeated Missoula, giving the Clarkes the state title when they beat the Lockwoods for the Butte-Anaconda League championship.

The Lake Placid Athletic Club played an independent schedule during the 1932-33 season. They planned to enter the National Senior Championship, but withdrew due to concerns over expenses.

North Dakota

The Grand Forks Dragons enjoyed another successful season as an independent team. They swept Fargo-Moorhead, and defeated the University of North Dakota 2-1 in a three-game series for the city championship. Grand Forks entered a team in the Northwestern AAU Championship.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

On March 18, 1933, 1,200 spectators watched the Pittsburgh Hockey Association team, composed of former and present collegians, face the Nichols Alumni of Buffalo, New York, in a benefit game at the Duquesne Gardens. All proceeds of the match were turned over to the Pittsburgh Junior League.

Texas

The Polar Wave Bears, Spalding Blue Streaks, and Baytown Yankees competed in the Houston City League. The games were played five-aside, instead of the usual seven, to help speed up the play. Although the ice rink in San Antonio was not open this winter, the San Antonio Rangers wanted to play the Spalding Blue Streaks in Houston. However, the series did not materialize. No hockey was played in Dallas in 1932-33, either.

The Inland Empire Hockey League was contested once again in 1932-33. It was comprised of three teams from Spokane and the Couer d'Alene Eskimos, who won the league title. The Seattle City League was also in operation, and was won by the Seattle Hullins.
