1953–54 RSFSR Championship season

The 1953-54 RSFSR Championship season was divided into multiple regional groups to start. The top teams from the regional groups advanced to play in the final tournament.

First round

Zone 1

  1. Khimik Voskresensk
  2. Traktor Perovo

Other participants: Red Flag Pavlovsky Posad, Zenith Zagorsk, Metallurg Elektrostal, "Machine Engineer" Podolsk, Palace of Culture Karl Marx-2 Elektrostal.

Zone 2

  1. Torpedo Gorky

Other participants: Sparak Ivanovo, Lokomotiv Vologda, Dynamo Kostroma. Known scores: Gorky 4 - Vologda 1, Gorky 11 - Kostroma 1, Ivanovo 14 - Kostroma 2.

Zone 3

  1. Shakhtar Bobrik-Donskoy

Other participants: Spartak Tula, Dynamo Voronezh, Dynamo Rostov-on-Don. Known scores: Bobrik 11 - Tula 2, Bobrik 13 - Voronezh 1, Bobrik 18 - Rostov 2, Voronezh 7 - Rostov 2.

Other participants: SKIF Omsk, Spartak Irkutsk, Khimik Novosibirsk, Metallurg Stalinsk, Spartak Krasnoyarsk (finished last).
