1950–51 RSFSR Championship season

The 1950-51 RSFSR Championship season was divided into multiple regional groups to start. The top teams from the regional groups advanced to play in the final tournament.

First round

Zone 1

  1. Dynamo Moscow Region

Other participants: "Machine Engineer" Podolsk, Metallurg Elektrostal, Spartak Lyubertsy, Spartak Noginsk, Zenith Zagorsk, Lokomotiv Babushkin, Red Flag Shchyolkovo.

Zone 2

Participants: Khimik Elektrostal, Soviet Wings Tushino, VVS-2 Moscow, Dynamo Gorky, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Dynamo Tula.

Khimik Elekrostal defeated Tushino in the match for first place. According to the newspaper "Soviet Sport" after the first four rounds, Tushino had eight points out of eight, and that Elektrostal had six of eight. The newspaper also reported that "... successfully developed" Dynamo Tula, then withdrew." The participation of Torpedo-2 Gorky had also been intended.

Zone 3

  1. Dynamo Voronezh 8-1-1 42-19 17 pts
  2. Iskra Saratov

Other participants: "Labor Reserves" Kuibyshev, ODO Kuibyshev, Spartak Kuibyshev, Iskra Tambov.

Zone 4

  1. Dynamo Sverdlovsk

Other participants: SC them. Stalin Molotov, Metallurg Serov, Spartak Molotov, Dzerzhinets-2 Chelyabinsk.

Zone 5

  1. Dynamo Novosibirsk 9-0-1 18 pts
  2. ODO Novosibirsk 8-1-1 17 pts

Other participants: Spartak Novosibirsk, Pishchevik Novosibirsk, Spartak Omsk, Spartak Krasnoyarsk.
