1946–47 Austrian Hockey Championship

The 1946-47 Austrian Hockey Championship was the 18th season of an organized ice hockey competition in Austria. Six teams participated in a double round-robin tournament, with Wiener EV winning the championship by virtue of finishing first in the standings.

(*The game was stopped when Reichl of KAC attacked the referee, Samwald, who then ejected him. KAC refused to continue the game, and the match was halted in confusion while the police intervened. Reichl and Gusnik were suspended for the next game, a 3-1 WEV victory over KAC.)

Innsbrucker EV was suspended and forced to forfeit their last five matches after facing the German club, SC Riessersee, in a friendly match. Games against German teams were forbidden after the war.

Qualification round

Group winners: Grazer SV (Steiermark), EC Kitzbuhel (Tyrol and Voralberg) - was originally Innsbrucker EV II, but due to a member of the first team playing for them, it was awarded to Kitzbuhel, Union-SC Salzburg (Upper Austria).
