The 1954-55 Nationalliga B season was the eighth season of the league as the second-level of Swiss ice hockey. HC La Chaux-de-Fonds won the championship and qualified for the National League A's relegation round.

As Gotteron and Montana finished level at 9 points apiece, a tiebreaker match between the clubs was scheduled to be played in Bern. As Montana did not want to make a return trip to Bern after having just played there against Langnau, they forfeited the game, and Gotteron advanced to the final round.
