The North Macedonia national ice hockey team (Macedonian: Хокејарска репрезентација на Македонија; Hokejarska reprezentacija na Makedonija) is the national ice hockey team of North Macedonia. The team is controlled by the Macedonian Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
History
Macedonia played their first game on 27 March 2011 against Red Star Sofia of Bulgaria in Skopje. Macedonia went on to lose the game 1–4.[1] In December 2014 Macadonia played two exhibition games against the Bulgarian under-20 national ice hockey team in Skopje. They lost the first game 5-6 in overtime and won the second 4-3 following a shootout, recording the teams first ever win.[2]
Macedonia have still never entered in any IIHF World Championship tournaments. On 20 January 2018, Macedonia made its international debut and played two exhibition games against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo over the weekend. They won the first game 8–7 and lost the second game 7–6 in overtime a day later.[3]
