The Venezuelan national ice hockey team (Spanish: Selección de hockey sobre hielo de Venezuela) is the national ice hockey team of Venezuela and is controlled by the Venezuelan Ice and Inline Hockey Association (AVHLH), the governing body for both ice and inline hockey in Venezuela. Venezuela is currently not a member of the IIHF.
History
Venezuela made its debut in international ice hockey competition at the 2018 Latin American Tournament (LATAM Cup), which took place in Coral Springs, Florida, United States.[1] Venezuela played its first game against Colombia on 9 November 2018. They fell 12–1. On 10 November 2018, they played their fourth game and went on to win 5–3 against Brazil. They eliminated Brazil in the preliminary round and advanced to the LATAM Cup semi-finals. On 11 November 2018, they again played against Colombia, went on to a 13–0 loss, and finished 4th place as a semi-finalist with a record of 1–4.
