Texas

The South Texas Ice Hockey League returned for the 1937 season, with the Polar Wave Bears, San Antonio Rangers, Randolph Field Ramblers, and Austin Americans competing. It seems the schedule was not completed. The Houston Amateur League was also contested, with the Rice University Owls winning the championship.

Washington

The Washington-Idaho Hockey League was contested during the 1936-37 season. It was composed of teams from Spokane and Couer d'Alene, and won by the Spokane Maple Leafs. The Spokane Clippers of the Pacific Coast Hockey League moved from Oakland, California, to Spokane on February 11. In December 1936, it was reported that the Gonzaga Bulldogs planned to revive their hockey program for the season. However, the team did not come together until 1937-38.
