Manchuria Medical College
The Manchuria Medical College is a medical school founded in Dalian in 1911 by the Nanchuan Railway Co., Ltd. It was initially known as the Nanman Medical College.
In May 1922, according to the order of Japanese domestic universities, Nanman Medical College was upgraded from a specialist to an undergraduate university, and changed its name to the Manchuria Medical College, with a seven-year academic system and a preparatory foundation. The school site was moved from Dalian to Mukden (now Shenyang, China).
In 1945, with the defeat of Japan, it was changed to the National Shenyang Medical College. In 1948, it was incorporated into the Chinese Medical University.
The college had an ice hockey team which competed in the All-Japan Championship during the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, winning the title in 1931. The club also represented Japan at the 1930 World Ice Hockey Championships. They remained active until 1939.
