Grimsby Town League
The Grimsby Town League (also known as the Talbutt Cup League) was a local competition held at the Grimsby Ice Rink in the English town of Grimsby. Games were noted to have been played on Monday nights for many years.

An excerpt from the Ice Hockey World Annual 1950/51, detailing the 1949-50 season, entitled "Grimsby League Grows": "Grimsby, the only rink in the Midlands, is playing a big part in the development of native talent for, in addition to the Intermediate Red Wings, managing-director John Mountain and manager Rowland Haste sponsor four junior outfits-Lions, Wolves, Red Hawks and Columbias. These teams compete in the Talbutt Cup League, presented by the former owner, B.F. Talbutt."
Another excerpt from Ice Hockey World Annual 1952/53, detailing the 1951-52 season, entitled "Hockey In Grimsby Is Booming": "Meantime, the enthusiastic Grimsby hierarchy, headed by Managing Director J.F. Mountain and General Manager Roland Haste intend continuing their hockey policy on the lines which have proved so successful in the past.
This means that the Red Wings will continue to draw from the four teams in the local City League-Red Hawks, Wolves, Columbia and Lions. Red Hawks skippered by Derrick Nadeau, are the defending champions."
