The English Junior Hockey League was a junior competition staged in England during the 1940s and 1950s.

Junior hockey was first played in England in the 1930s. In July 1934, R.W. Couldrey formed the Public Schools Ice Hockey Club. Peter Patton was club president, F.A. de Marwicz honorary treasurer, and Couldrey served as honorary secretary. The club was based at the Wembley Empire Pool rink, where they practiced, and had about 60 members by the end of the season.

There was a competition staged for the Patton Cup at the end of the 1934-35 season. On April 20, Beaumont College defeated the Hornets 1-0 in the first semifinal. The Wembley Cubs defeated the Bees 1-0 in the second on the 23rd. On April 25, the Cubs won the championship with a 2-0 victory.

It was hoped for there to be a league featuring the best two teams from each rink for the 1936-37 season.
