EC Hedos München

The EC Hedos München were an ice hockey team in Munich, Germany.

The club was founded in 1982 as a replacement to EHC 70 München and started out playing in the Bavarian Landesliga in 1983-84. The club was unable to participate in the league in 1982-83 due to not meeting registration deadlines set by the Bavarian federation.

The Hedos were promoted to the Bayernliga, then to the Regionalliga, next to the Oberliga and finally to the 2nd Bundesliga in successive years from 1984 to 1987. They spent two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga before rising to the top-tier Eishockey-Bundesliga for the 1989-90 season. They played five seasons (1989-90 to 1993-94) in the Bundesliga, winning the league championship in 1993-94.

The club became the Maddogs München for 1994-95 and served as a founding member of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. However, the Maddogs withdrew from the league on December 18, 1994 and declared bankruptcy, which led to having their results erased from the standings.
