ATSE Graz is an ice hockey team in Graz, Austria. They last played in the Austrian National League, the second level of ice hockey in Austria, during the 2011-12 season. Graz currently participates in an amateur regional league.
History
The club was founded in 1947, and were frequent competitors in the Austrian Hockey League, winning the league championship in 1975 and 1978.
In the early 1990s, ATSE Graz merged with UEC Graz to form EC Graz. The merged club eventually folded in 1998.
In 2008, ATSE was revived, and joined the Austrian Oberliga for the 2008-09 season. ATSE won the Oberliga in 2009, and were promoted to the Nationalliga for 2010.
Hans Dobida played with ATSE Graz for five seasons as a young adult, then later served as head of section at ATSE Graz for almost 40 years.[1][2]
