Notes

1. The game, played in three 15 minute periods (instead of the usual 20) was halted midway through the third period when several Tilburg players attacked the referee, Alain Bonnefoy, after he assessed a 10 minute penalty to the Trapper captain, Joe Simons. ACBB then filed a complaint with the IIHF, which led to three Tilburg players being suspended for the 1971-72 season.
