1969–70 Gruppenliga season
The 1969-70 Gruppenliga season was the eighth and final season of the Gruppenliga and the fifth season of the league as the second-level competition in East Germany.
Regular season
A Group 1 and Group 6 were originally intended to be contested. It is unknown why they were not.
