1965–66 Belarusian SSR Championship season

The 1965-66 Belarusian SSR Championship was contested by 12 teams, divided into two groups. The final tournament was not contested due to adverse weather conditions, as all games were played outdoors on natural ice.

The hockey rink for this game resembled a swimming pool, with a thin layer of ice at the bottom. After two periods that stretched for a couple of hours, the game was tied. The referees suggested that they stop the slog and play the third period the following day. The MAZ team, dissenting from this decision, immediately went home, facing a technical defeat. However, sanctions were not imposed—the thaw completed its work, and the ice disappeared.
