The 1964-65 Austrian Regionalliga season served as the second level of ice hockey in Austria. The league was divided into two regional groups, with the top team in each group advancing to the final.

SC Innsbruck was promoted to Nationalliga A. They declined the promotion because of financial difficulties and merged with Innsbruck-Pradl. Due to the creation of the Bundesliga as the top-level Austrian league, the runner-up Völkermarkt qualified for the 1965-66 Nationalliga A.
