The 1962-63 Danish 1. division season was the sixth season of ice hockey in Denmark. Five teams participated in the league, and Rungsted IK won the championship.

Promotion/Relegation
USG, the last placed team in the 1. division, faced the 2. division champions, Rødovre SIK (who beat Viborg SF in the second division final), in the relegation game. USG won the match and remained in the 1. division.
