1948–49 Belgian Hockey League season
The 1948-49 Belgian Championship was the 29th season of the national ice hockey competition in Belgium. Cercle des Patineurs Liègois won the championship for the first time in their history.[1]

Terwagne Challenge
This was a competition that featured eight teams. All games took place at the Saint-Sauveur rink in Brussels on April 10, 1949. The quarterfinals and semifinals consisted of two five minute periods, while the final featured two 10 minute sessions.[12]
