Brabo IHC

Brabo Ice Hockey Club (also known as Brabo Antwerpen) was an ice hockey team in Antwerp, Belgium. The team was named after Silvius Brabo, a mythical Roman soldier who is the symbol of the city of Antwerp. Their uniforms were either dark red or light grey colored.

The club was founded in 1947, as a successor of sorts to the Antwerp All-Stars. The All-Stars were a select team comprised of Canadians playing abroad in Belgium. They were organized to play an exhibition game against the Trail Smoke Eaters, who were on a warm-up tour of Europe prior to their participation in the 1939 World Ice Hockey Championships. 21,000 spectators packed the recently-opened Sportpalais Merksem on January 29, 1939, to watch the Smoke Eaters defeat the All-Stars by a score of 7-0.

Brabo IHC won the Belgian Hockey League title four times during the 1950s; in 1950, 1952, 1953, and 1954.
