Regina City League

The Regina City League was formed for the 1904 season. Five teams entered the competition.

  • 1/4: Smith-Ferguson - Clerks 4:2
  • 2/1: CPR - Clerks 7:3
  • 2/4: Smith-Ferguson - Real Estate Forfeit
  • 2/29: Clerks - CPR 4:2
  • 3/11: Clerks - CPR 4:3 OT (1:1, 3:3, 1:0) - played @ Lumsden due to collapse of roof at Regina rink

The Clerks won the league championship.

  2. CPR 5 wins, 3 losses, 45 GF
  3. Banks 3 wins, 3 losses, 43 GF
  4. Smith-Ferguson 1 win, 4 losses, 14 GF

Eastern Hockey League

The Eastern Assiniboia Hockey League was also established this winter. It featured the hockey clubs from Indian Head, Moose Jaw, and Regina.

  • 2/9: Moose Jaw - Indian Head @ Indian Head
  • 2/12: Regina - Indian Head 11:4 @ Indian Head
  • 2/16: Moose Jaw - Regina @ Regina - not played due to storm
  • 2/19: Moose Jaw - Indian Head @ Moose Jaw
  • 2/22: Moose Jaw - Indian Head @ Indian Head
  • 2/26: Moose Jaw - Regina 3:2 @ Moose Jaw
  • 3/1: Regina - Indian Head @ Regina
  • 3/4: Moose Jaw - Indian Head @ Moose Jaw
  • 3/8: Moose Jaw - Regina Forfeit @ Regina - game was awarded to Moose Jaw as the Regina rink was deemed unsafe for play due to the heavy weight of snow on the roof; rink roof later collapsed - result was disputed and upheld as Regina did not give five days' notice that the rink was not in condition to play the game
  • 3/11: Regina - Indian Head @ Indian Head

Moose Jaw won the championship.

Saskatchewan Hockey League

The Saskatchewan Hockey League was founded in 1904 as well. The teams competed for a cup presented by Strang & Co., Winnipeg.

  • 1/12: Duck Lake - Prince Albert Braves - Prince Albert defaulted
  • 1/13: Saskatoon - Prince Albert Braves 9:4 (4:1, 5:3) @ Prince Albert
  • 1/26: Saskatoon - Duck Lake 10:2 (2:2, 8:0) @ Saskatoon
  • Rosthern beat Saskatoon @ Rosthern
  • 3/4: Rosthern - Saskatoon 1:0 @ Saskatoon

Prince Albert withdrew from the league. Rosthern won the league, finishing undefeated, Saskatoon lost two games, and Duck Lake finished winless.
