Spokane, Washington

Ice hockey replaced ice polo in Spokane this winter. The "old Spokane hockey team" came together again and issued a challenge to any team in the city. Rossland and Nelson wanted to play in Spokane, and wrote to the Spokane club in an effort to arrange dates, which were impossible to setup due to the uncertainty of the skating season in Spokane.[9]

The Spokane Hockey Club was invited to compete in the Rossland Winter Carnival, which began on February 12, 1901. They were unable to practice due to a lack of ice, and thus did not send a team. Billy Myers was captain of the Spokane club.[10]

Utah

The All Salt Lake Ice Hockey Team issued a challenge, that as of December 29, 1900, had not yet been accepted. The club held a practice on the 28th, and hoped to play a game on New Years Day.[11] No records exist of any games taking place during the 1900-01 season.
