The game started late, but not too late to beat St. Peter's and Souris. The game was clean all through and played well. The Georgetown senior team is one of the best teams in King's County, and they are not afraid to say it, and the intermediate team also. "Kensington has been somewhat neglected in the line of local hockey matches until last Thursday night [3/11] when six married men mobilized and boldly challenged a sextette of the younger fry to a game of two twenty minute halves. At the beginning of the game it looked like the married men would put it all over the youngsters when Rogers and Woodside by scoring a couple of goals within the first ten minutes showed the spectators that their ice training had been good in earlier years. Billie Ozen was a whirlwind. The first half ended in favor of the Married men 2-0. After ten minutes the rubber was again faced and both teams began to play with renewed vigor. Time and again did Lynds from his position on cover make brilliant rushes in his inimitable style only to be repulsed by the Doc or to meet the Rock defence of Bowness and Sims on cover and goal. However he managed to lift the puck from centre ice and scored, repeating the performance later in the game. This ended the count. The forwards of the boys began to play good combination now and before the game ended they added two more goals to their credit being thunderously applauded from the promenade. Mr. D.E.
