This was the 1976 Belarusian SSR Spartakiad, played in Minsk, Belarusian SSR, in February.
Overview
In Group 1, Red Banner crushed Zenit 21-0, then defeated Burevestnik 7-1 and Spartak 7-2. Dynamo emerged victorious in Group 2, defeating Urozhai 7-2 and Lokomotiv 13-5. The favorites' winning streak continued in the opening matches of the final tournament: Red Banner annihilated Lokomotiv 9-1, while Dynamo defeated Spartak 5-3. In the decisive match for the championship, Red Banner defeated Dynamo 5-1. Spartak took bronze, defeating Lokomotiv 11-2.
