The Scottish Amateur Ice Hockey League was a competition held in Scotland during the 1955-56 season. It was formed after all the Scottish teams save the Paisley Pirates withdrew from the British National League.

Five teams participated in the league. The Falkirk Lions won the playoffs for the Scottish Cup with a 13-1 trouncing of the Edinburgh Royals. The regular season championship was played for the Coronation Cup.
