Star Ice Hockey Club was one of the founding members of the Scottish Ice Hockey Association in 1909-1910.[1] During the same time frame, they played a "house league" competition at Crossmyloof Ice Rink along with several other squads.

Star was represented by one player, G. Pettigrew, for the Scottish National Team in two international matches against England, played in March and December, 1910. Scotland lost the first match 11-1 but earned an 8-3 victory in the return game. Pettigrew notched two goals in the second meeting.[2]
