Verein Kunsteisbahn am Sportplatz Engelmann was formed at the Engelmann skating rink, situated in Vienna, Austria, on November 26, 1906.
The association had set itself with the task of creating the first open-air ice rink in Austria. On November 10, 1909, this facility was opened in Vienna. In November 1914 the club decided to set up its own ice hockey team. In December 1914, the foundation of the association was approved by the association board.
The club participated in the Vienna Ice Hockey Championship starting in 1914-15. They played three seasons (1915, 1916 and 1917) in the competition.
Verein remained a member of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation until they resigned from the association in October 1928.
