Sportklub Slovan was initially founded as a football club in 1902. The organization was located in Vienna, Austria.

In 1906, the club created a bandy hockey section, that initially played friendly games against other local teams.

Slovan was among the four founding members of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation (OEHV) in 1912. They played in the Vienna Ice Hockey Championship, starting in its inaugural 1912-13 season.

The club did not compete in the championship in 1916 and 1919. A shortage of manpower precluded their participation in 1919.

They later played in the 1922 Austrian Bandy Cup.
