The Währinger Bicycle Club was founded as a cycling club on March 1, 1894. In 1911, WBC created a bandy-hockey section.

The club joined the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation in 1912 and played in the Vienna Ice Hockey Championship from its inaugural 1912-13 season through 1918-19.

In 1920, it became known as the Währinger Bewegungssport Club. WBC played in the Austrian Bandy Cup in 1922 and the last Austrian Bandy Championship in 1923.

The Wiener Bewegungssport Club succeeded the club in 1924.
