The Scottish Amateur League was a competition held in Scotland during the 1955-56 season. It was formed after all the Scottish teams save the Paisley Pirates withdrew from the British National League.
Five teams participated in the league. The Falkirk Lions won the playoffs with a 13-1 trouncing of the Edinburgh Royals.
After one season of play, the league folded as the rink directors deemed there to be an insufficient number of teams for a viable competition to be staged.
