The Thayer Tutt Trophy was an international tournament contested in 1980, 1984, and 1988. It was organized for national teams that failed to qualify for the Olympic Games, as no World Championships were held those years.

The tournament was named for William Thayer Tutt, who was president of the IIHF from 1966-1969.
