Junior hockey in Austria currently consists of leagues ranging from under 11 to under 20.
The Erste Bank Young Stars League was formed for the 2012-13 season, admitting several foreign teams, and replacing the classification formerly known as Jugend.
The Erste Bank Juniors League was created a year later, following in the EBYSL's footsteps. The league had formerly been known as Schüler. The U16 competition became known as such starting in 2013-14.
