The 1930 British Championship was the first edition of the British Championship. The final was played on May 17 at Golders Green Ice Rink, home of the London Lions It was won by the Lions.

The teams competed for the Patton Cup.

The Glasgow team was assembled utilizing a pool of players from the various Scottish League teams.

Glasgow qualified for the final.

The match was also described as "England vs. Scotland".
