The 1947-48 Belgian Championship was the 28th season of the national ice hockey competition in Belgium. Brussels IHSC won the championship, for their eight title in nine years and the 12th in total.[1]

Championship

In the February 17, 1948, edition of La Wallonie, Cercle des Patineurs Liegois was described as being “the sole team in Division I”. It was noted that the team had not suffered much from a lack of practice, and had not lost the passion and enthusiasm which characterized them and so often helped them neutralize the technical superiority of their opponents. The club’s exceptional skating abilities were thought likely to serve them well in the event of a meeting with a foreign team. Official records list Brussels IHC as 1948 Belgian champions, but no contemporary sources list any game results.

Other games

  • 10/10: Metro Antwerp - CSH Brussels @ Antwerp
  • 4/8: Cercle des Patineurs Liegois - CSH Brussels 10:3
