1924–25 Belgian Hockey League season

The 1924-25 Belgian Championship was the ninth season of the national ice hockey competition in Belgium. Le Puck d'Anvers won the championship for the second consecutive season.

Belgian Championship

• 2/28: Le Puck Anvers - CP Anvers 2:1 (1:0, 1:1)

Puck and CPA met for the Belgian Championship on February 28. The game was magnificent to watch, and was won by Puck only with great differently. They started the game on the attack, and Pierre Van Reyschoot scored the opening goal. Puck controlled the play throughout the first half, but failed to register a second goal. CPA launched a counter-attack when the game resumed, but in vain, and Kreitz soon scored to make it 2-0 for Puck. After the goal, CPA went on the attack again, and Poplimont tallied, shortly before the final whistle blew.

A large audience was present for the Antwerp Cup game between Le Puck and Club des Patineurs. The latter team had no substitutes, forcing their players to stay on the ice for the entire game. Puck won the game comfortably, playing a style that was pleasant to watch. The fowards, who were the strong point of the team, passed the puck well. Of the defensers, Bureau was by far the best, because Colomb played in an all too brutal and disorganized a manner. Van den Brocke did very well in net for what he had to do.

CPA did not succeed in imposing its style of play, as the players did not practice together often enough. Poplimont had several nice shots and did a few good things with De Ridder. It was noted that Scheidt would be very good if he practiced more. The defense played well and supported the opposing waves with stoicism.

At the end of the match, the Puck players invited their friends from CPA to share a bottle of champagne together. It was heartening to see the two big clubs fraternize in such a manner.
