This was the 1921-22 season in English ice hockey:
On November 11, 1921, it was reported that an ice hockey club had been formed at the Manchester Ice Palace. They were to play practice games once a week.[1] On November 30, 16 Oxford University players participated in a practice match in Manchester to prepare for upcoming games in Switzerland.[2] The Stripes defeated the Whites 7-4 in a scratch game.[3]
The 1921 Varsity Match between Oxford and Cambridge University was played on December 22 at Mürren. On January 27, 1922, Oxford University defeated a British Army team 8-3 in Manchester.[4]
