The Bairns Trophy was a competition held in Scotland in various forms from 1939 to 1956.
History
The Bairns Trophy was first contested as a Falkirk-based rink tournament prior to World War II. The Dundee Tigers won the inaugural 1939 edition.
After the war, the trophy was awarded to the winner of the Scottish National League consolation round. The teams who took part in the tournament were those who failed to qualify for the Anderson Trophy playoffs.
For 1952-53, the Bairns Trophy became an independent competition staged between the Edinburgh Royals and Falkirk Lions. The Royals claimed the trophy. In 1955-56, it served as a tournament hosted by Falkirk. It was one of the trophies competed for by the five Scottish Amateur League clubs that year.
