"The hockey team of the St. John Bicycle club are anxious to get on a match with the players of the Bankers' club. A match will be played at an early date, probably on the Carleton rink, between the bankers and the St. John Athletic club players."[1]

Leadley challenged the Turtle Grove Recreation Club to a game of hockey on February 24.[7] The Standards and Orients were set to play three championship games on March 3, 10, and 15.[8]
