New Brunswick

"The hockey team of the St. John Bicycle club are anxious to get on a match with the players of the Bankers' club. A match will be played at an early date, probably on the Carleton rink, between the bankers and the St. John Athletic club players."[1]

Nova Scotia

On January 20, 1893, L.A. Gastonguay, captain of the Halifax Athletes hockey club, stated that they could not accept the challenge of the Unions' of Dartmouth, as they had a previous engagement, but would be happy to give them a game at the first opportunity.[3] Gastonguay later gave February 1 as a date they would be available to play the Unions.[4] A. Ryan, captain of the Acadias, and his team, challenged the Athletes to a friendly game on February 10.[5] On February 18, Captain McCarthy and the Nine Club challenged the C.C.Y.M.S. of Dartmouth to a game at the Dartmouth rink within 10 days.[6] On behalf of the St. James C.Y.M.S. club, captain H.F. Leadley challenged the Turtle Grove Recreation Club to a game of hockey on February 24.[7] The Standards and Orients were set to play three championship games on March 3, 10, and 15.[8]

The Mutual, Chebucto, and Turtle Grove clubs of Dartmouth organized a series of games. "The loser plays the third or bye-team. The Winner of this game then plays the winner of the first game, best two out of three, for a trophy symbolical of the hockey championship."[9] The Chebuctos won the series.

Prince Edward Island

The Victoria Club became the second team to be established in Charlottetown in 1893. On January 20, the Easts defeated the Wests 3-1.[26] The Victoria Club staged their first game on February 14, with the English edging the Scots 4-3.[27] On March 10, the Civilians beat the Militia 3-0.[28]
