The World Championship of University Hockey was played in Beijing, China (at the 2022 Winter Olympics venue) from April 15-19, 2019. It was won by Kazakhstan, who defeated the Engineers Praha 6-2 in the final. The Engineers had previously beaten Belarus, China, and the United States (represented by the Bates Bobcats) in the group stage, and Finland 5-1 in the semifinals.
