Union Riga
Union Riga was an ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. The club played in the 1930-31 Latvian Tournament, which they won by defeating ASK Liepaja 1-0 in the final.
Union joined the Latvian Championship for its inaugural season in 1931-32. After a first place finish in the Riga Group, they claimed the championship with a 14-1 victory over Olimpija Liepaja in the final.
They finished tied for first with ASK Riga in the Riga Group in 1933. Union won the tiebreaker game 3-1 and advanced to the final, again meeting Olimpija Liepaja. In a much closer contest than the previous year, Union won 1-0 to claim their second straight Latvian Championship.
The club participated in the Latvian Championship through the 1938-39 season, but never again repeated their earlier success, never finishing higher than third place during their last six years in the competition.
