Matthijs Carel "Thijs" Cohen-Tervaert (February 11, 1915 - January 1, 1945) was a Dutch hockey player. He took part in four games for the Dutch National Team at the 1939 World Championship.

Cohen-Tervaert played club hockey for the Blue Six Amsterdam and A.IJ.H.C. Amsterdam.

He was a member of the Dutch resistance during World War II. Tervaert was eventually captured by the Nazis and deported to the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. He perished there on January 1, 1945.
