The Southampton Ice Rink in Southampton, England, opened on July 18, 1931, and the first ice hockey game was played at the venue on October 13, Germany blanking England 7-0 in an international matchup. The Southampton Vikings of the English National League played at the rink in 1936-37. It was destroyed by a German parachute mine in 1940.[1]
