SG DVP Berlin

SG Deutsche Volkspolizei Berlin was an ice hockey team in East Berlin, East Germany.

The club qualified for the 1951-52 season of the DDR-Oberliga, where they finished in sixth place after winning only two of their 12 games, and were relegated to the Liga.

They changed their name to SG Dynamo Berlin the following year, and finished first in Group A of the Liga, which was good enough to be promoted to the Oberliga. However, a command "from above" prevented the squad from joining the league and forced it to dissolve.

The club is considered to be a forerunner of SC Dynamo Berlin, which was founded in 1954.
