Roger Marie Léon Pierre Van der Straten-Ponthoz (July 9, 1888 - September 27, 1972) was a Belgian hockey goaltender who was a member of the Belgian National Team at the 1911 European Championship and the 1912 LIHG Championship.[1]
Straten-Ponthoz played club hockey for Brussels IHC in the Belgian Championship.
He scored the only goal of the game for Brussels IHC when they lost 6-1 in an international friendly against Club des Patineurs de Paris on February 27, 1910. It was the first recorded tally by a European goaltender.[2]
