Morgårdshammars IF was a Swedish sports club from Smedjebacken, Sweden that over the years had men's association football, bandy, and ice hockey teams. The club was established in 1931. Football was the longest running team run by the club from 1932 to 1986. They would have a bandy team that would be replaced by the ice hockey team around 1948.

History

The team would start in Swedish Division 4, and would win the championship twice within their first six seasons. They would earn promotion to Swedish Division 3, and later wound up in Swedish Division 2, where they would win championships in 1957-58, 1958-59, and 1960-61. They would earn promotion to the Swedish Division 1 following the 1960-61 season. They would stay in the Division 1 league for the 1961-62 and 1962-63 season before being relegated back to Division 2. They would stay in Division 2 until the team was merged with Backbyns IF to form Smedjebacken-Morgårdshammar Hockey. The club would be dissolved in 1986. In 1987, the new ice rink was inaugurated in Smedjebacken, which replaced the old outdoor rink at Hagvallen in Morgårdshammar, when the club changed its name to Smedjebacken HC. The Morgårdshammar name would be revived with the 2007-08 season with a new team in the Swedish Division 3 which lasted for one season.

The club's B team had set a record on December 9, 1974 when Larsbo IF was defeated 72-1 at the outdoor rink Hagvallen in Smedjebacken during a match in Swedish Division 4 southern Dalarna.
