MTV München 1879 is a sports club in Munich, Germany. Its ice hockey section section participated in some early editions of the German Championship.
They debuted in the German Championship in 1913, making it all the way to the final, where they lost 4-0 to Berliner Schlittschuhclub. MTV would finish as runners-up three more times (in 1914, 1920, and 1921). Their crowning achievement was winning the German Championship in 1922, by virtue of defeating Berliner Schlittschuhclub 1-0 and SC Charlottenburg 3-2.
