Count Istvan Bethlen (March 8, 1904 - February 6, 1982) was a Hungarian hockey player. He played for the Hungarian National Team at four major tournaments between 1927 and 1935.

Bethlen played for BKE Budapest for his whole club career. His father, Istvan Bethlen Sr., who was the Hungarian prime minister from 1921-1931, was one of the earliest individuals to take up the sport of bandy hockey in Hungary.

He competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics as a polo player.
